Fundraising is a crucial function for many nonprofits, schools, teams, and other institutions that rely heavily on generosity and volunteerism. Every organization has a different strategy for how they are going to raise funds and, as a result, fulfill its goals. But did you know that some fundraisers are more successful and profitable than others? This article will discuss some profitable fundraisers you can try for your cause.

Bake Sales

Let’s start with an oldie but a goodie—bake sales. People love baked goods, and they just seem to taste better when you know the money you spent on them is going to a good cause. The reason why this is such a popular fundraiser is that it requires minimal (if any) upfront costs. Simply get some members of your organization together, ask that they bring a pan of their favorite cakes or pastries, and set up shop where you know there will be a lot of foot traffic. Simple!

Yard Sales

Everybody needs to clean out their dusty attic every once in a while, to make room for new stuff. In the process, you might just find some old stuff that you no longer have any use for, but somebody else might. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! The next time you do some spring cleaning, instead of just throwing away your unwanted items, get some members of your organization together and start a yard sale to raise money for your cause.

Branded Merchandise

People who support and believe in your cause want to help you both raise funds and awareness for your organization. The easiest way to do that is to sell them branded merchandise. Items like shirts, water bottles, and tote bags make it easy to get your name and logo out there to the public. However, if your goal is to increase brand awareness and raise funds at a high margin, we recommend using silicone bracelets. Competition

The Lions Club where I grew up hosted an annual softball tournament where teams of friends and family members form teams and compete against one another for a grand prize (and bragging rights). The Lions collect an entry fee from each team and spectators enjoy refreshments as they watch their loved ones compete. All the proceeds from the event go directly to the Lions Club. Your organization can also hold a softball tournament, or a trivia night, or even a bingo game! People love to compete and will show up to support you.

Here in Wisconsin, we occasionally enjoy a good Old Fashioned or beer. Honestly, an adult beverage just tastes better when it supports a just cause. The next time your organization is in need of a fundraiser, consider having a cocktail party. It can be as formal of an event as you want it to be. Create the Perfect Wristbands

Step One: Select Preview Colors

These preview colors are simply to help you visualize your amazing design. You will select colors and quantities in a later step. Select your band color as well as your imprint (font) color. When you are done, click Next Step.

Step Two: Add Text

To begin, click Add New Text. From here, you can experiment with different fonts and font sizes. Keep in mind that you can add more than one text box by selecting Add New Text again. Feel free to play around with this until you create the perfect design. Be sure to check your spelling. Our machines cannot proofread for you and will print whatever is given to them. When you are ready, click Next Step.

Step Three: Add Graphics

To begin adding graphics, simply select Add Graphic. Then click Change under the box that reads No Logo. From there, you can choose clipart that we have free and available to you, or upload your own graphics or logo from your computer. Be sure to view all of our graphics by browsing through the dropdown menu. When you are done adding graphics to your wristband, click Next Step.

Step Four: Finalize the Design

Last call! Give your design one more proof. If it looks good, check the box that reads I approve this design. Then click Approve & Select Colors. Now you can select the exact colors and quantities you want for your next event. Once finished, add your designs to your cart and complete your order. We will get to work on creating your wristbands as fast as we can.
